Path of Exile 2 introduces six new classes, each aligned with one of the game’s primary attributes: Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence.
Here are the new classes:
Strength: Warrior and Marauder
Dexterity: Huntress and Ranger
Intelligence: Sorceress and Witch
Strength/Dexterity: Mercenary and Duelist
Strength/Intelligence: Druid and Templar
Dexterity/Intelligence: Monk and Shadow
These new classes start at the same points on the passive skill tree as their predecessors from the first game but come with their own unique specializations known as Ascendancies and distinct quest rewards.
While not officially confirmed, the Scion class from the first game might also return.
In keeping with tradition, Path of Exile 2 will feature 13-week leagues, akin to the seasonal content found in games like Diablo. Each league will introduce fresh mechanics, balance changes, and new skill gems, ensuring that the game remains engaging.
Additionally, Path of Exile 2's leagues will be slightly staggered compared to the original game, beginning approximately 4-5 weeks after the end of a league in the first game. This overlap means you can enjoy both games’ leagues without missing a beat.
